Let's start off the new year by giving a huge Mason County WELCOME to NewGem Foods®! NewGem Foods moved to Allyn and is now occupying a portion of the old Stretch Island Fruit facility, now known as Stretch Island Landing.  

NewGem Foods is the original creator of the patented, 100% plant-based Sandwich Wraps (GemWraps®), and the recently introduced Sushi Wrap line for all those home sushi chefs. These natural fruit and veggie wraps are a fraction of the carbs and calories of traditional flour tortillas, plus they're so delicious and healthy for you! 

Matthew deBord, Founder and President, spent 4 years living in Japan where he grew to appreciate the cuisine and culture. Among his favorites were the fresh, healthy food items found at Japanese convenience stores. Returning home to the states, he considered how to bring some of that appreciation, and cuisine, to the U.S. He also missed the easy access to healthy, affordable, grab-and-go foods. 

Starting as a small seaweed alternative company, NewGem is now an industry leader using its innovative wrap technology to disrupt traditional foods like bread and tortillas.
