Hungry Hollow
In 1888, Grant Jones’ great grandfather left Kansas in search of a farm to raise a family. The settled on about 100 acres right here in Mason County surviving off beans and potatoes the first few years. This was the start of Hungry Hollow. During the 1920’s and 1930’s, the farm was a successful truck farm delivering vegetables and grapes through the South Sound. From strawberries, pumpkins and trees to chicken and livestock, the use of the land has changed over the years. However, one thing does remain the same, the family’s legacy to steward the land. Grant strives to leave the land better each year so that future generations can also live on this land and produce healthy food for the local community. Grant lives in the house his great grandfather built. He raises chickens for meat and eggs, pigs, cattle and honeybees. Hungry Hollow offers pork shares, beef shares, chicken, eggs and honey.
