EDCMason is the economic development organization committed to working with local businesses, providing free, one-on-one, confidential consulting services to those seeking to establish, expand or relocate to Mason County. May 9 to 13 is 2022 National Economic Development Week and the perfect time to celebrate EDCMason’s activities. Take a look at the following business growth activities and accomplishments below.
Small Business Development
EDCMason has a team of experienced professionals ready to assist small businesses with whatever they need. No request is too small or too large for them. Many small businesses work with EDCMason to access its assistance and connect the excellent programs and partners in the area. One such program is the Mason County Business Builder Course, which is extremely valuable to new entrepreneurs and those looking for a refresher. Another is Economic Gardening, a program to reduce the risk of business expansion while increasing the potential for growth by helping an organization or individual understand the strengths, challenges and opportunities present. Learn about these programs and many others on the EDCMason website.
EDCMason excels at helping businesses wishing to start or expand a business in and relocate to Mason County. Its consulting services include advantageous marketing intelligence, site selection, collaboration facilitation and more.
Additionally, no one understands the critical nature of accessing available funding to small businesses like EDC Mason. As a result, EDCMason works with many local, regional and national lenders who exist to help small businesses and entrepreneurs navigate the difficult path to obtaining necessary financial assistance.
National Economic Development Week
The seventh annual National Economic Development Week (EDW) is May 9 to 13 and represents an opportune time to reflect on the importance of local economic development efforts in building a vibrant and sustainable community. The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) created EDW in 2016 to help increase awareness of local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities and improve the quality of life in communities everywhere.
EDW is a chance to recognize economic developers, the local leaders and organizations who work tirelessly to recruit investors, develop businesses, create jobs, enhance the tax base and ultimately improve the quality of life of their communities. Many resources are available for those looking to participate in this year's events. The IEDC’s #EconDevWeek22 Toolkit offers many ideas, while using #EconDevWeek22 can help amplify the value EDOs have in a community.
EDCMason works tirelessly to support entrepreneurs and small businesses, focus on business retention and expansion, lead workforce development and assist with marketing and promotion to ensure the local community can achieve the highest quality of life possible.
