Community Goals

Economic development cannot be accomplished by one person or one organization. We need a concentrated effort with many people working toward achieving our community goals. What we do, we do together. Where we are, we are together.

Since the EDC’s formation in 1983, there have been no shortage of areas in which business leaders can offer thoughtful, constructive assistance and solutions that make a significant impact. The EDC could not continue the challenging work and effort we put into the growth of our economy without such community support.

Over the last several years, the EDC has made great strides in support of its mission to build our county’s economic stability and prosperity. Highlights have included working diligently administer over $4 m in cash injections via federal grants into our county small businesses. The EDC has also provided increased support to our partners on multiple projects around the community that provide things such as much needed infrastructure and workforce development programs for our businesses.

With all of this success, our work still is not done. Focus over this next year will be to continue assisting our existing businesses as well as developing our infrastructure build out that is needed to support our current businesses and those looking to relocate to our area. We have also expanded our services with startup business trainings and funding while supporting our entrepreneurs with business visits to all areas of the county.

Thank you again for your contribution in support of our event, I encourage you to get involved with our organization, you will not regret it. Please know that you can contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I am always happy to assist and would love to discuss what we are doing and where we can get more involved.
