RECOMPETE ACT

  • Mason County’s Congressman Rep. Derek Kilmer (WA-06) drafted and introduced the RECOMPETE Act, which established a new federal grant program, authorized at $1 billion through the fiscal year 2028 and funded at $200 million in the fiscal year 2023, to invest in communities that have faced long-term economic challenges.
