Reselling Happiness, one year in.

February 2023 celebrates a year in business for Rishel Kidd, owner of Our Favorite Things and Cottontail Baby & Kids Resale Shops in downtown Shelton. Being a 5th generation Mason County resident, Rishell and her daughter Emma love being part of the community and have dreamt about owning a business. The two shops are located at 413/415 Railroad Ave in Shelton and don't appear as traditional thrift shops. Rishel wanted to offer an upscale look at low prices. She gets her stock from closeouts, other people, and the community. She hopes the city of Shelton will soon be able to review and approve her plans to combine the two shops with a passthrough. They have to go out the door, leaving one space for the other.

It's a great feeling to be a local, woman-owned business in the town that Rishel's family grew up around and is still. She enjoys being out doing something that she is passionate about, helping and thrifting, and passing that experience down to her daughter daily.
