Jennifer Capps is the Chief Development and Communications Officer for Mason Health. She has been with Mason Health since 2008 and in her current position since 2009. She received her Master of Arts degree in Philanthropy and Development from St. Mary's University and her Bachelor of Arts degree is in English and a Minor in Studio Art from Hollins University. She also has certifications in executive non-profit leadership and management. 

In her youth, Jennifer traveled and grew up in Germany. Her father is a retired military officer who served in Vietnam and has received two Bronze Stars for his acts of valor and bravery. During her travels, she lived in Kobe, Japan as a part the student exchange program at Shoin Women's University. 

Jennifer is currently a member on our board of directors here at the EDC. She has been in this position since 2017. Her 25 years of expertise in the non-profit sector is beneficial to the further organizational development of the EDC. 

Jennifer says her favorite part about the EDC is, “I love the ability to make a difference in our local community through working with the EDC and supporting Mason Health’s Mission of United Community, Empowered People Exceptional Health. I absolutely love how beautiful our area is and how the community really pulls together in good and challenging times – this is a very unique and wonderful place.”
