The Mason County Economic Development Council Names Kevin Shutty as the New Executive Director

Mason County, WA – April 12, 2024: The Economic Development Council of Mason County (EDC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Kevin Shutty as its new Executive Director. With a wealth of local experience, Kevin brings a diverse background, serving on numerous boards, councils, and commissions. His educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Social Studies Education, a Masters in Community and Economic Development, and certifications in Public Leadership.

Shutty, who resides in Union with his wife, Catherine, will assume his new position at the EDC on May 1, and will transition from his current role on the Mason County Board of County Commissioners at the end of 2024. Known for his results-driven approach and deep commitment to the community, Kevin is highly regarded as a skilled communicator and respected leader. His unwavering integrity and competitive drive further underscore his suitability for this role.
